2017 "Good life. Sustainable development" Taiping, Matang and Kuala Sepetang. The 2nd Ecological Conservation Symposium

"Look! Port Weld" has been paying attention to ecological conservation and environmental education. This ecological conservation seminar not only discusses the concepts of natural ecology, local characteristics, humanities and art, history and culture, and community building, but also specially invited Yu Zhaoqing, the chairman of the Taiwan Institute of Historical Resource Managers who gave a special speech on "Life and the environment, what is beauty?".

I hope that the participants can think together, whether Taiping and Kuala Sepetang Fishing Village reflect a good life in public space and community planning? These places have beautiful natural ecological environments such as Taiping Lake, a large mangrove forest, habitats for migratory birds, history and culture, charcoal kiln cultural industry, and also the capital of cockles. However, are they missing something? Is the quality of living, sanitation and cleanliness of the environment, overall community planning and public art space taken care of and put "beauty" into life?"

Every time when I visit Kuala Sepetang, this place would give me new experiences, discoveries and learnings. I believe that it is a treasure "between heaven and earth". The railway port in the past, the active fishing village now, the inheritance of traditional charcoal kilns and the life of mangrove ecology are intertwined, telling the "life story" of this "between heaven and earth" everywhere.
