A library is an important public facility in a community. The traditional library has a rich collection of books but is static. It only provides a space for people to read or borrow books. The Kuala Sepetang Community Library was built into a "living library" where it encouraged interaction between people to attract readers into the library.

In 2018, there were teachers and students from the Department of Architecture of Tamkang University in Taiwan came to Kuala Sepetang to carry out the community space renovation internship plan, and held a small "My Dream of Sepetang Library". The two-day holiday workshop for architects allowed children who often come to the library to listen to stories to put forward their expectations for the library and design the library they want in the workshop.
